The flute maintenance kit materials will help with cleaning and maintaining the instrument. When you are finished playing the instrument it is important to have a cleaning rod and a cloth to clean the instrument.
Clarinets
Elementary clarinet students should be playing on #2 reeds. It is important for all clarinet students to have plenty of extra reeds in their case. This way when a reed breaks you have a new one in your case ready to go! The clarinet kit materials will help with cleaning and maintaining the instrument. Cork grease is the item that you apply to the cork on the instrument to keep the cork moist. The ligature is the metal piece that holds the reed (the piece of wood) in place on the mouthpiece. A working ligature is important to being able to properly play the instrument.
